Dear Mr. Nielsen:

Brian and I would like to thank you for your generous support in preparing our solar boat
for the 1993 Sunfest Solar Boat Regatta. We appreicated the time you took to come out and
watch the race. The Nielsen Outrigger system performance was excellent. As you know, the     
lake was very rough the day of the race. The outriggers kept Brian's boat very stable and
enhanced the performance. I know you couldn't stay for the awards ceremony so I thought
I would share the results with you.  
Brian was entered in the Minnesota class and placed 1st in the sprint run, 1st in the 2 hour
endurance run, and 1st  for design innovation.  Brian's  boat, 'Solar Troller II' also received
the people's choice award. Brian received a lot of inquiries about the outriggers while his
boat was on display at the Minnesota Zoo, the location of the finish for the solar powered
car from Texas.
